PRAYER JOURNAL - IT IS TIME FOR US TO GROW & MATURE IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE GLORY OF THE LORD
AS I SAT IN MY OFFICE DRINKING COFFEE ☕️ AND SAYING MY MORNING PRAYERS .. HOLY SPIRIT AWAKENED MY SLEEPING COMPUTER TO SHOW ME PROPHETIC NUMBERS. I SEARCHED THEM OUT WITH HOLY SPIRIT THEN THE LORD SPOKE.
HOLY SPIRIT REVEALED THE NUMBER 85 👉🏻 HEBREW 85 👉🏻 Abraham, father of a multitude.
The patriarch first appears as Abram (“exalted father”) in Genesis 11:26. In Genesis 17:5 God changes his name to Abraham, declaring, “for I have made you a father of many nations”. The renaming signals the expansion of God’s purpose from one man and household to a multitude that will bless all peoples.

FEAR OF MAN IS A SIN. IT IS REBELLION. ME MUST EMULATE THE FAITH OF ABRAHAM. WE MUST MOVE FORWARD EVEN IF WE DON’T KNOW WHERE WE ARE GOING OR HOW WE WILL GET THERE.

Knowledge Grounded in the Revelation of God: True insight originates with God’s self-disclosure. “For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:6). Paul marvels, “Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!” (Romans 11:33). Knowledge, therefore, is neither autonomous nor merely cerebral; it is the light God implants, enabling believers to perceive His character and purposes.
Knowledge of Salvation Through Christ: Zechariah foretold that John the Baptist would give God’s people “knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins” (Luke 1:77) .. this insight centers on Jesus’ death and resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). The gospel is proclaimed “to spread the fragrance of the knowledge of Him in every place” (2 Corinthians 2:14). Without this saving knowledge, moral or religious learning remains powerless.
Knowledge as a Charismatic Endowment: “To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge according to the same Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:8). This gift brings Spirit-directed insight that can diagnose hidden issues (1 Corinthians 14:24-25) or clarify doctrine (14:6). Because it functions within the body, it must always serve others and remain under the authority of Scripture.
Knowledge and Christian Ethics: Knowledge shapes conscience and conduct. Yet Paul warns, “Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up” (1 Corinthians 8:1). Believers who understand the liberty of the gospel must restrain its exercise for the sake of weaker brothers (8:10-11). In another list of gospel virtues Paul includes “in purity, knowledge, patience, and kindness” (2 Corinthians 6:6), showing that right perception fuels godly practice.
Knowledge and Progressive Sanctification: Peter calls saints to “supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge” (2 Peter 1:5-6) and closes his second letter with, “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (3:18). Such growth is not optional; it safeguards against false teachers and stabilizes believers until Christ returns.
Knowledge Adorned with Humility and Love: Paul prays that the Ephesians will “know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge” (Ephesians 3:19). Love, therefore, both surpasses and sweetens insight.
Warnings Against Pseudo-Knowledge: Jesus rebukes the experts who “have taken away the key of knowledge” (Luke 11:52), while Paul cautions Timothy to avoid “opposing arguments of what is falsely called knowledge” (1 Timothy 6:20). Paul also demolishes “every lofty thing that sets itself up against the knowledge of God” (2 Corinthians 10:5). The apostolic church faced early forms of the speculative ideas that blossomed into second-century Gnosticism; Scripture counters these by rooting knowledge in the incarnation and atonement of Christ.
Christ as the Treasury of Knowledge: “In Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3). The believer does not exhaust these treasures but continually discovers them through Scripture and communion with the risen Lord.

The term evokes the familiar arenas of the Greco-Roman games—scenes of rigorous training, clear regulations, impartial judges, and coveted crowns. Scripture appropriates this image to portray the believer’s disciplined, wholehearted engagement in the service of Christ.
2 Timothy 2:5 employs the verb twice: “Likewise, anyone who competes as an athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules”. HEBREWS 6:1-20 NLT "So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God. You don’t need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding. LORD WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SAY?
Truly. It is time to grow and mature in the knowledge of the glory of the Lord. For the knowledge of My glory will fill the earth as the waters cover the seas. It is time for those who are in Me to see My glory. To come off of milk and dine on meat. My word contains all the wisdom and knowledge you need. So feast My children! Feast upon My word. Faith comes by hearing and consuming My word. Without faith you cannot please Me. It begins with salvation then milk and then meat. So go where you can grow .. where My word is preached in Spirit and truth. Shed man’s ideas and doctrines and seek the truth. I give to you new wine skins to hold the new wine that will be poured out to you. Allow me to remove the old one. Accept the new. And study to show yourselves approved. My people perish for lack of knowledge. No more! My people shall be armed with the truth! And in the light of truth, darkness is revealed and removed. You shall shine forth in the truth of My word and conquer and occupy until I come again. Shalom.
