The Lord revealed George Washington again!!

In December 1776, General George Washington saved the American Revolution by leading a surprise Christmas night crossing of the icy Delaware River to defeat Hessian forces at the Battle of Trenton on December 26, restoring flagging patriot morale when the army faced total collapse.

IN THE PHOTO I TOOK OF HIM, IT SHOWS THE NUMBER “3” 

Washington's final plan included plans for three (3) crossings of the river, with his troops, the largest contingent, to lead the attack on Trenton.

The amount of ice on the river prevented the artillery from finishing the crossing until 3 am on December 26. The troops were ready to march around 4 am.

In a war council on December 27, Washington learned that all of the British and Hessian forces had withdrawn as far north as Princeton, something Cadwalader had learned when his militia company crossed the river that morning. In his letter, Cadwalader proposed that the British could be driven entirely from the area, magnifying the victory. After much debate, the council decided on action and planned a third (3rd) crossing for December 29.

General George Washington crossed the Delaware River on the night of December 25–26, 1776, leading 2,400 troops in a surprise attack against Hessian forces in Trenton, New Jersey. Earlier in that month on December 7–8, 1776, Washington's retreating army also crossed the river into Pennsylvania.

During the "miracle" of the crossing of the Delaware, General George Washington crossed over the ice-choked river on Christmas night in 1776. Major Military & Political Events of 1778:

February 6: The Treaty of Alliance and the Treaty of Amity and Commerce were signed with France, bringing crucial naval, financial, and military support to the United States. 

February 23: Prussian officer Friedrich von Steuben arrived at Valley Forge to retrain and discipline the Continental Army. 

June 18: British forces evacuated Philadelphia and retreated toward New York City.
