PRAYER JOURNAL - ABIRAM: A WARNING ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES OF REBELLION

WHOAAA. I WAS OUTSIDE TAKING PICTURES OF THINGS GOING ON IN THE SKY AND AS I PRAYED IN THE SPIRIT. I HAD AN UNCTION TO TURN AROUND AND SAW THIS HUGE FACE!! I SEARCHED IT OUT AND IT APPEARS TO BE ABIRAM, SON OF ELIAB.

A sobering lesson about rebellion, authority, and judgment.

ABIRAM SON OF ELIAB

The Rebellion with Korah:

Numbers 16:1-3 introduces the conspiracy of Korah the Levite—joined by Dathan, Abiram, and On—against the leadership of Moses and Aaron. Their charge was that Moses had arrogated priestly authority to himself: “‘You have gone too far! For all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them. Why then do you set yourselves above the assembly of the LORD?’” (Numbers 16:3).

Refusal to Hear Correction:

When Moses summoned Dathan and Abiram, “they said, ‘We will not come!’” (Numbers 16:12). Their defiance revealed settled contempt, not mere misunderstanding. They accused Moses of bringing them from “a land flowing with milk and honey” (Egypt!) only to die in the wilderness (Numbers 16:13-14). Their revisionist history echoes later murmuring at Kadesh (Numbers 14:3-4).

Divine Judgment:

At the Lord’s command the congregation withdrew from the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram (Numbers 16:24-27). “The earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and their households” (Numbers 16:32). Psalm 106:17 commemorates the event: “The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan; it covered the company of Abiram.” The judgment was immediate, visible, and total—an enacted warning against insurrection.

You, not your children, saw the miracles he did in Egypt. You saw what he did to Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and to his whole country. You, not your children, saw what he did to the Egyptian army—to their horses and chariots. They were chasing you, but you saw him cover them with the water from the Red Sea. You saw how the Lord completely destroyed them. It was you, not your children, who saw everything he did for you in the desert until you came to this place. You saw what he did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab from Reuben’s family. All the Israelites watched as the ground opened up like a mouth and swallowed them, their families, their tents, and all of their servants and animals. It was you, not your children, who saw all the great things the Lord did. “So you must obey every command I tell you today. Then you will be strong. And you will be able to go across the Jordan River and take the land that you are ready to enter. Then you will live a long life in that country. The Lord promised to give that land to your ancestors and all their descendants. It is a land filled with many good things. The land that you will get is not like the land of Egypt that you came from. In Egypt you planted your seeds and used your feet to pump water from the canals to water your fields like a vegetable garden. But the land that you will soon get is not like that. In Israel there are mountains and valleys, and the land gets its water from the rain that falls from the sky. The Lord your God cares for that land. The Lord your God watches over it, from the beginning to the end of the year. “The Lord says, ‘You must listen carefully to the commands I give you today: You must love the Lord your God, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul. If you do that, I will send rain for your land at the right time. I will send the autumn rain and the spring rain. Then you can gather your grain, your new wine, and your oil. And I will make grass grow in your fields for your cattle. You will have plenty to eat.’ “He says, ‘Be careful! Don’t be fooled. Don’t turn away from me to serve other gods and to bow down to them.’ If you do that, the Lord will become very angry with you. He will shut the skies, and there will be no rain. The land will not make a harvest, and you will soon die in the good land that the Lord is giving you. “Remember these commands I give you. Keep them in your hearts. Write them down and tie them on your hands and wear them on your foreheads as a way to remember my laws. Teach these laws to your children. Talk about these things when you sit in your houses, when you walk along the road, when you lie down, and when you get up. Write these commands on the doorposts of your houses and on your gates. Then both you and your children will live a long time in the land that the Lord promised to give to your ancestors. You will live there as long as the skies are above the earth. “Be careful to obey every command I have told you to follow: Love the Lord your God, follow all his ways, and be faithful to him. Then, when you go into the land, the Lord will force all those other nations out. You will take the land from nations that are larger and more powerful than you. All the land you walk on will be yours. Your land will go from the desert in the south all the way to Lebanon in the north. It will go from the Euphrates River in the east all the way to the Mediterranean Sea. No one will be able to stand against you. The Lord your God will make the people fear you wherever you go in that land. That is what he promised you before. “Today I am giving you a choice. You may choose the blessing or the curse. You will get the blessing if you listen and obey the commands of the Lord your God that I have told you today. But you will get the curse if you refuse to listen and obey the commands of the Lord your God. So don’t stop living the way I command you today, and don’t follow other gods that you don’t know. “The Lord your God will lead you to your land. You will soon go in and take that land. At that time you must go to the top of Mount Gerizim and read the blessings to the people from there. And then you must go to the top of Mount Ebal and read the curses to the people from there.”

AS I WAS LOOKING AT HIS PICTURE, HOLY SPIRIT AWAKENED MY SLEEPING COMPUTER TO SHOW ME PROPHETIC NUMBERS. 

HE SHOWED ME THE TIME 1:08 (18) 👉🏻 THE BIBLICAL MEANING OF 18 IS TO CHOOSE THE BLESSING OR THE CURSE .. OBEDIENCE OR REBELLION. IT IS A CHOICE.

I WAS LED TO READ THE ACCOUNT OF KORAH'S REBELLION IN NUMBERS 16.

KORAH'S REBELLION TOOK PLACE IN THE WILDERNESS AFTER THE MIRACULOUS RED SEA MOMENT. A SECOND REBELLION TOOK PLACE ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARD AGAINST THE LEADERSHIP GOD HAD CHOSEN FOR ISRAEL'S DELIVERANCE (MOSES AND AARON) .. THE SECOND REBELLION CAUSED GOD TO SMITE THEM WITH A PLAGUE THAT WAS SHORT-LIVED BECAUSE AARON STOOD IN THE GAP AND MADE ATONEMENT ON THEIR BEHALF.  👀👀👀 .. AND I WAS JUST SHOWN ABOUT A COMING PLAGUE. 🦠🐀 INTERESTINGLY, THE 250 IS MENTIONED IN THIS SCRIPTURE!!! AND WE ARE IN OUR 250TH YEAR AS A NATION. 👀👀👀

NUMBERS 16 AMP “Now Korah the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, and On the son of Peleth, descendants of Reuben, took action, and they rose up [in rebellion] before Moses, together with some of the Israelites, two hundred and fifty leaders of the congregation chosen in the assembly, men of distinction. They assembled together against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “You have gone far enough, for all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them. Why then do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the Lord?” And when Moses heard this, he fell face downward; and he spoke to Korah and all his company, saying, “In the morning the Lord will show who belongs to Him, and who is holy, and will bring him near to Himself; the one whom He will choose He will bring near to Himself. [2 Tim 2:19] Do this: Take censers for yourselves, Korah and all your company, then put fire in them and place incense on them in the presence of the Lord tomorrow; and the man whom the Lord chooses shall be the one who is holy. You have gone far enough, you sons of Levi.” Then Moses said to Korah, “Hear now, you sons of Levi, does it seem but a small thing to you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to Himself, to do the service of the tabernacle of the Lord, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them; and that He has brought you near [to Him], Korah and all your brothers, sons of Levi with you? Would you seek the priesthood also? Therefore you and all your company are gathered together against the Lord; but as for Aaron, who is he that you murmur against him?” Then Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab; but they said [defiantly], “We will not come up. Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land [of plenty] flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the wilderness, but you would also Lord it over us? Indeed, you have not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Will you gouge out the eyes of these men? We will not come up!” Then Moses became very angry and said to the Lord, “Pay no attention to their offering! I have not taken one donkey from them, nor have I harmed any one of them.” Moses said to Korah, “You and all your company are to appear before the Lord tomorrow, both you and they along with Aaron. Each of you take his censer and put incense on it, and each of you bring his censer before the Lord, two hundred and fifty censers; also you and Aaron shall each bring his censer.” So they each took his own censer and put fire on it and laid incense on it; and they stood at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle), with Moses and Aaron. Then Korah assembled all the congregation against Moses and Aaron at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle). And the glory and brilliance of the Lord appeared to all the congregation. Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, “Separate yourselves from among this congregation, so that I may consume them immediately.” But they fell on their faces [before the Lord], and said, “O God, God of the spirits of all flesh! When one man sins, will You be angry with the entire congregation?” Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Say to the congregation, ‘Get away from around the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.’ ” Then Moses arose and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him. And he said to the congregation, “Get away from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, or you will be swept away in all their sin.” So they got back from around the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram; and Dathan and Abiram came out and stood at the doorway of their tents with their wives and their sons and their little children. Then Moses said, “By this you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these works; for I do not act of my own accord. If these men die the common death of all mankind or if what happens to everyone happens to them, then [you will know for sure that] the Lord has not sent me. But if the Lord creates an entirely new thing, and the ground opens its mouth and swallows them up, along with all that belongs to them, and they descend alive into Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead), then you will understand that these men have spurned and rejected the Lord!” As soon as Moses finished speaking all these words, the ground under them split open; and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and their households, and all the men who supported Korah, with all their possessions. [Num 26:10, 11] So they and all that belonged to them went down alive to Sheol; and the earth closed over them, and they perished from among the assembly. All Israel who were around them fled at their outcry, for they said, “The earth may swallow us also.” Fire also came forth from the Lord and consumed the two hundred and fifty men who were offering the incense. Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Tell Eleazar the son of Aaron, the priest, that he is to pick up the censers from the midst of the blaze for they are holy; and you scatter the burning coals abroad. As for the censers of these people who have sinned at the cost of their lives, have the censers made into hammered sheets as a plating for the altar [of burnt offering], for they were presented before the Lord and they are sacred. They shall be a [warning] sign to the sons of Israel.” So Eleazar the priest took the bronze censers which the Levites who were burned had offered, and they were hammered out [into broad sheets] as a plating for the [bronze] altar [of burnt offering], as a reminder to the sons of Israel so that no layman—that is, one who is not of the descendants of Aaron should approach to offer incense before the Lord; so that he will not become like Korah and as his company—just as the Lord had said to him through Moses. But on the next day the entire congregation of the Israelites murmured against Moses and Aaron, saying, “You have caused the death of the people of the Lord.” When the congregation was assembled against Moses and Aaron, they turned and looked at the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle), and behold, the cloud covered it and the glory and brilliance of the Lord appeared. Then Moses and Aaron came to the front of the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle), and the Lord spoke to Moses saying, “Get away from among this congregation, so that I may consume them immediately.” Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces [in silence before the Lord]. Moses said to Aaron, “Take a censer and put fire in it from the altar and lay incense on it; then bring it quickly to the congregation and make atonement for them, for wrath has gone forth from the Lord; the plague has begun!” So Aaron took the burning censer as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the assembly; and behold, the plague had [already] begun among the people; and he put on the incense and made atonement for the people. He stood between the dead and the living, so that the plague was brought to an end. But those who died in the plague were 14,700, besides those who died because of Korah. Then Aaron returned to Moses at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle), for the plague had been brought to an end.”
