EXODUS 5 - PHARAOH MAY BE PUTTING ON THE PRESSURE, BUT NOT FOR LONG!!!!!

I AM NOTICING THIS SCRIPTURE IN EXODUS 5 IS HAPPENING .. 

EXPENSE ACCOUNTS ARE DWINDLING — FORCING LABORERS TO PAY FOR ACCESS TO TOOLS THE EMPLOYER USED TO PAY FOR THAT ARE NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB.

LEADERSHIP IS CHERRY-PICKING THE LARGEST INCOME-PRODUCING DEALS AND TAKING ALL PROFITS WHILE ASKING THE UNDERLINGS TO HELP WITH ZERO COMPENSATION .. LEAVING ONLY THE SCRAP DEALS FOR THEM WITH LOWER INCOME OPPORTUNITIES.

IT’S BEEN THIS WAY FOR A WHILE, BUT HAS GOTTEN WORSE. THE SQUUUEEEEEZE IS ON .. BUT NOT FOR LONG!!

The very same day Pharaoh gave orders to the [Egyptian] taskmasters in charge of the people and their [Hebrew] foremen, saying, “You will no longer give the people straw to make brick as before; let them go and gather straw for themselves. But the number of bricks which they were making before, you shall [still] require of them; you are not to reduce it in the least. For they are idle and lazy; that is why they cry, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to our God.’ Let labor be heavier on the men, and let them work [hard] at it so that they will pay no attention to [their God’s] lying words.” Then the [Egyptian] taskmasters [in charge] of the people and their [Hebrew] foremen went out and said to the people, “Thus says Pharaoh, ‘I will not give you any straw. Go, get straw for yourselves wherever you can find it, but your work [quota] will not be reduced in the least.’ ” So the people were scattered throughout the land of Egypt to gather stubble to use for straw. And the taskmasters pressured them, saying, “Finish your work, [fulfill] your daily quotas, just as when there was straw [given to you].”

When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, Pharaoh and his servants had a change of heart toward the people, and they said, “What is this that we have done? We have let Israel go from serving us!”

The Egyptians chased them with all the horses and war-chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen and his army, and they overtook them as they camped by the sea, beside Pi-hahiroth, in front of Baal-zephon. As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up and saw the Egyptians marching after them, and they were very frightened; so the Israelites cried out to the Lord.

Then Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid! Take your stand [be firm and confident and undismayed] and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today; for those Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see again.”

Then the Egyptians pursued them into the middle of the sea, even all Pharaoh’s horses, his war-chariots and his charioteers.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the waters may come back over the Egyptians, on their war-chariots and their charioteers.” So Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its normal flow at sunrise; and the Egyptians retreated right into it [being met by the returning water]; so the Lord overthrew the Egyptians and tossed them into the midst of the sea. The waters returned and covered the chariots and the charioteers, and all the army of Pharaoh that had gone into the sea after them; not even one of them survived.

8006 👉🏻 Shillem, an Israelite

Genesis 46:24 lists Shillem among the sixty-six persons who journeyed with Jacob into Egypt: “The sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem.”

Numbers 26:49 records the clan in the wilderness census: “of Shillem, the clan of the Shillemites.”

These two mentions frame the history of the Shillemites from their arrival in Egypt to the threshold of Canaan. Their presence in both registers attests to God’s preservation during four centuries of bondage and the trials of the Exodus.

Shillem’s name appears in the list that secured Israel’s legal right to settle in Goshen. That same roster became the basis for tribal identity when Moses led the people out (Exodus 1:1-4).

In the second census, the tribe of Naphtali numbered 45,400 fighting men (Numbers 26:50). Although Numbers gives no separate total for each clan, every Shillemite was counted, showing that Shillem’s line had not been lost despite judgments that fell on the Exodus generation.

Inheritance in Canaan: Joshua 19:32-39describes Naphtali’s allotment in Galilee, a region later blessed by the ministry of Jesus Christ (Matthew 4:13-16). Thus descendants of Shillem eventually lived in the land where the “people walking in darkness have seen a great light” (Isaiah 9:2; cf. Matthew 4:16).

The name Shillem occurs only twice, yet Scripture preserves it forever. This reflects the Lord’s care for “those who fear Him” whose names are written in His book (Malachi 3:16).

From patriarchal tents to Egyptian bondage, from Sinai to the Plains of Moab, the Shillemites remained part of the covenant people, illustrating that God “keeps His faithfulness to a thousand generations” (Deuteronomy 7:9).

LIKE THE SHILLEMITES, WE ARE GOING TO EXIT THE WILDERNESS AND ENTER THE PROMISED LAND.

“Our God is a God of deliverance; the Lord GOD is our rescuer from death.” The plural “deliverances/outgoings” points to repeated, manifold rescues. Every escape route from danger to life is an “outgoing” supplied by the Covenant King.

THAT IS AMAZING HOW THE LORD ORCHESTRATED ALL OF THOSE CONFIRMATIONS!!!  HE GETS ALL THE GLORY!!!
