PRAYER JOURNAL - BELIEVE IN GOD'S PROPHETS & YOU WILL SUCCEED!
"My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.”
Isaiah 55:8
Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on YOUR OWN insight or understanding.
Proverbs 3:5
Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things NOT seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].
Hebrews 11:1
But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6
[The Lord replied,] “Look among the nations! See! Be astonished! Wonder! For I am doing something in your days— You would not believe it if you were told.”
Habakkuk 1:5 AMP
Throughout the Bible, God’s prophets shared His messages .. not only for their own time but FOR ALL GENERATIONS.
They highlighted themes of justice, mercy, and faithfulness .. reminding believers that God remains active and caring throughout time.
Whether calling for repentance, warning of future consequences, or offering hope for redemption, prophets ARE ESSENTIAL for guiding people back to God.
After Jesus died & was resurrected, Paul said God’s people would operate in the GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT .. one of which is the GIFT OF PROPHECY.
There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but they all come from the same Spirit. There are different ways to serve the same Lord, and we can each do different things. Yet the same God works in all of us and helps us in everything we do. The Spirit has given each of us a special way of serving others. Some of us can speak with wisdom, while others can speak with knowledge, but these gifts come from the same Spirit. To others the Spirit has given great faith or the power to heal the sick or the power to work mighty miracles. Some of us are prophets, and some of us recognize when God's Spirit is present. Others can speak different kinds of languages, and still others can tell what these languages mean. But it is the Spirit who does all this and decides which gifts to give to each of us. Together you are the body of Christ. Each one of you is part of his body. First, God chose some people to be apostles and prophets and teachers for the church. But he also chose some to work miracles or heal the sick or help others or be leaders or speak different kinds of languages.
1 Corinthians 12:4-11, 27-28
HE WARNED TO TEST PROPHECY. HOW DO WE DO THAT? ๐
Beloved, do not believe every spirit [speaking through a self-proclaimed prophet]; instead test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets and teachers have gone out into the world. BY THIS YOU KNOW AND RECOGNIZE THE SPIRIT OF GOD: every spirit that acknowledges and confesses [the fact] that Jesus Christ has [actually] come in the flesh [as a man] is from God [God is its source]; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus [acknowledging that He has come in the flesh, but would deny any of the Son’s true nature] is not of God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming, and is now already in the world.
1 John 4:1-3
TRUE PROPHETS POINT THE BODY OF CHRIST TO JESUS. FALSE PROPHETS DO NOT. PROPHETIC WORDS MAY NOT ALWAYS BE FOUND IN THE BIBLE AS THEY MAY CONTAIN REVELATION, BUT THEY SHOULD NEVER CONTRADICT GOD'S WRITTEN WORD.
MANY PROPHECIES OF OLD TESTAMENT PROPHETS WERE FOR TODAY — AND ARE BEING FULFILLED IN OUR DAY. AND GOD IS STILL SPEAKING. HE IS NOT SILENT. AND HOW DOES HE SPEAK TO US? THE SAME WAY HE ALWAYS HAS — THROUGH PROPHETS. YOU MUST KNOW GOD’S WORD & RELY ON HOLY SPIRIT TO DISCERN TRUTH FROM THE LIES OF THE ENEMY.
"I am the Lord, and I do not change."
Malachi 3:6
Indeed, the Sovereign Lord never does anything until he reveals his plans to his servants the prophets.
Amos 3:7
Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in his prophets, and you will succeed.
2 Chronicles 20:20
