LUKE 11:33 - THOSE WHO FOCUS ON THE LIGHT OF CHRIST IN GOD'S WORD WILL SHINE FORTH LIGHT INTO THE WORLD

AS I AM PRAYING THIS MORNING .. JUST AS I OFFERED MY LIFE AS A LIVING SACRIFICE TO THE LORD .. I SAW 11:33 ON THE CLOCK & FELT DRAWN TO LOOK UP SCRIPTURE. HOLY SPIRIT IS HIGHLIGHTING LUKE 11:33 (I am including verses 33-36). 

“No one lights a lamp and then puts it in a cellar nor under a basket [hiding the light], but [instead it is put] on the lampstand, so that those who come in may see the light. 

The eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is clear [spiritually perceptive, focused on God], your whole body also is full of light [benefiting from God’s precepts]. But when it is bad [spiritually blind], your body also is full of darkness [devoid of God’s word]. 

Be careful, therefore, that the light that is in you is not darkness. 

So if your whole body is illuminated, with no dark part, it will be entirely bright [with light], as when the lamp gives you light with its bright rays.”

Luke 11:33-36 AMP

JUST BEFORE THAT .. JESUS SAID THIS 👇🏻

“This [present] generation is a wicked generation; it seeks a sign (attesting miracle), but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah [the prophet].

For just as Jonah became a sign to the people of Nineveh, so will the Son of Man also be [a sign] to this generation. 

The Queen of the South (the kingdom of Sheba) will rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them, because she came from the ends of the earth to listen to the wisdom of Solomon, and look, something greater than Solomon is here.

The men of Nineveh will stand up [as witnesses] at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and look, something greater than Jonah is here." 

Luke 11:29-32 AMP

JESUS IS TALKING ABOUT SPIRITUAL SIGHT & TWO LAMPS. THE FIRST LAMP IS THE TRUTH ABOUT JESUS’ WISDOM & RESURRECTION .. HIS WISE AND POWERFUL PRESENCE .. GREATER THAN SOLOMON & GREATER THAN JONAH. HE HAS SET A LAMP INTO THE WORLD THAT MUST NOT BE HIDDEN OR MISSED! HIS WORD & HIS WORKS MUST BE SEEN & NOT HIDDEN OR REJECTED.

THE SECOND LAMP REFERS TO YOUR EYES .. THE LAMP OF JESUS BECOMES A LAMP FOR YOUR EYES. IF YOUR EYES SEE JESUS FOR WHO HE REALLY IS, THEN THEY ARE THEN FLOODED WITH LIGHT & YOUR WHOLE BODY IS FILLED WITH LIGHT. BUT IF YOU DON’T SEE JESUS FOR WHO HE IS, YOU ARE FILLED WITH DARKNESS RESULTING IN SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS (and the inability to perceive light). 

JESUS CAUTIONS THAT THERE IS MUCH THAT PASSES THROUGH OUR EYES THAT PASSES FOR LIGHT, BUT IS REALLY DARKNESS. THERE ARE MANY BRIGHT SHINY THINGS IN THE WORLD THAT KEEP US FROM SEEING THE TRUE LIGHT OF CHRIST (like city lights that keep you from seeing the stars). IF YOU CANNOT SEE JESUS .. IT IS NOT BECAUSE HE HAS HIDDEN HIS LIGHT FROM YOU .. IT IS BECAUSE THE DARKNESS INSIDE YOU HAS BLINDED YOU TO HIS LIGHT.

JESUS WARNS US TO BE CAREFUL WHAT WE REGARD WITH OUR EYES AS BRIGHT, ATTRACTIVE & COMPELLING. FOCUS INSTEAD ON HIS LIGHT. HIS LIGHT IS FOUND IN HIS WORD .. AS HIS WORD SHINES FORTH & THE REVELATION OF JESUS IS MADE KNOWN .. LIGHT FLOODS YOUR BEING & THEN THERE IS NO MORE SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS. 

CHRIST IS THE LIGHT (the glory) WE ARE MEANT TO SEE .. HIS LIGHT ALONE SHOULD FILL US & GIVE US LIFE & PURPOSE. THEN WE WILL BE RADIANT & SHINE THE LIGHT OF CHRIST TO THE WORLD.

 TIMESTAMP 1:07 (OVERCOMING VICTORY & 1 John 1:7) .. SIDE NOTE: I found this confirmation scripture at 1:11 (GOD’S BELOVED SON 💛✨). 

“.. but if we [really] walk in the Light [that is, live each and every day in conformity with the precepts of God], as He Himself is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another [He with us, and we with Him], and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin [by erasing the stain of sin, keeping us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].”

1 John 1:7 AMP

AND TODAY IS AUG 23 .. the Biblical meaning of 23 is BEING IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD .. His glory light!!! ✨

TO CHOOSE LIFE IS TO CHOOSE JESUS!!! HE LOVES YOU AND IS EAGERLY WAITING FOR YOU TO ACKNOWLEDGE HIS FREE GIFT OF SALVATION & TO ASK HIM TO BE YOUR LORD & SAVIOR. THE BIBLE SAYS WE MUST CONFESS WITH OUR MOUTH THAT JESUS IS LORD TO BE SAVED FOR ALL ETERNITY. 

"And what is God's "living message?" It is the revelation of faith for salvation, which is the message that we preach. For if you publicly declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will experience salvation. The heart that believes in him receives the gift of righteousness of God - and then the mouth confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scriptures encourage us with these words: "Everyone who believes in Him will never be disappointed." Romans 10:9-11 TPT

PRAY THIS PRAYER ALOUD WITH YOUR VOICE TO RECEIVE JESUS' FREE GIFT OF SALATION & INVITE HIM TO BE THE LORD OF YOUR LIFE:

Jesus, I come to you asking forgiveness of my sins. I confess in my heart and speak with my mouth that You are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins, that You took my punishment & paid the price I could not pay for eternal salvation. I believe that you were raised on the 3rd day and are now seated at the right hand of God the Father. I receive Your free gift of salvation and I ask You to be the Lord of my heart, my soul and my life. Thank you for saving me & making me righteous before God.
