PSALM 111 - THE FEAR OF THE LORD

AS I AM PRAYING I AM LED TO PSALM 111. THE RHEMA WORD TODAY IS: THE FEAR OF THE LORD.

“Hallelujah! I give thanks to God with everything I’ve got— Wherever good people gather, and in the congregation. God’s works are so great, worth A lifetime of study—endless enjoyment! Splendor and beauty mark his craft; His generosity never gives out. His miracles are his memorial— This God of Grace, this God of Love. He gave food to those who fear him, He remembered to keep his ancient promise. He proved to his people that he could do what he said: Hand them the nations on a platter—a gift! He manufactures truth and justice; All his products are guaranteed to last— Never out-of-date, never obsolete, rust-proof. All that he makes and does is honest and true: He paid the ransom for his people, He ordered his Covenant kept forever. He’s so personal and holy, worthy of our respect. The good life begins in the fear of God — Do that and you’ll know the blessing of God. His Hallelujah lasts forever!”

To FEAR GOD is ..

✨to be in awe of Him because of His matchless power as the Creator of all things and all people.

✨to recognize the amazing power that He continues to exercise over his creation.

✨to realize His holiness .. His purity, perfection and complete separation from evil.

✨to be undone when He manifests Himself in a physical sign or demonstration of His glory.

✨to be grateful for His grace, forgiveness & continual blessings.

✨to recognize that He is omniscient & omnipresent .. that He is constantly aware of our actions and motives & that He holds us to account as the Righteous Judge.

If we truly FEAR GOD ..

✨we love Him & are obedient.

✨we teach our children to fear (reverence) Him .. to hate sin & love His commandments.

✨we grow in sanctification as we apply His word in our lives .. we are purified, separated from sin, & become spiritually mature.

✨we worship Him wholeheartedly .. we praise & honor Him.

✨we are confident & comforted as we walk through life .. no matter what’s happening around us .. because we sense His presence and protection.

God rewards all those who FEAR HIM ..

“The reward of humility and the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.”

“In the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and His children shall always have a place of refuge. Reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, that one may avoid the snares of death.”

And THE FEAR OF THE LORD is the beginning of GODLY WISDOM .. WISDOM FROM ABOVE that is pure, peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy & good fruits, without partiality or hypocrisy .. NOT bitter, envious, self-seeking, earthly, sensual or demonic. 

“Are any of you wise or sensible? Then show it by living right and by being humble and wise in everything you do. But if your heart is full of bitter jealousy and selfishness, don't brag or lie to cover up the truth. This kind of wisdom doesn't come from above. It is earthly and selfish and comes from the devil himself. Whenever people are jealous or selfish, they cause trouble and do all sorts of cruel things. But the wisdom that comes from above leads us to be pure, friendly, gentle, sensible, kind, helpful, genuine, and sincere. When peacemakers plant seeds of peace, they will harvest justice.”

James 3:13-18 CEV

Acknowledging and revering God's power and authority is the first step towards gaining true understanding and GODLY WISDOM. This reverence leads to a desire to learn and understand God's ways, which is the foundation for WISDOM.

TODAY IS 6/7 .. 6 is MAN. 7 is THE SPIRIT OF GOD .. GOD IS DOING SOMETHING BY HIS SPIRIT. When added together it is 13, REBELLION. Are you FEARING THE LORD & obeying His commandments .. which is the beginning of WISDOM. Or are you rebelling against God?

“Rebelling against God or disobeying him because you are proud is just as bad as worshiping idols or asking them for advice.”

“Rebellion against him is as bad as witchcraft, and arrogance is as sinful as idolatry.”

“Now the practices of the sinful nature are clearly evident: they are sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality (total irresponsibility, lack of self-control), idolatry, sorcery, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions [that promote heresies], envy, drunkenness, riotous behavior, and other things like these. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

WHEN I STARTED TODAY'S BLOG ENTRY, BLOGGER NOTED THE TIME WAS 9:48 WHICH LED ME TO MARK 9:48 (I AM INCLUDING VERSES 47-49 FOR CONTEXT).

TO CHOOSE LIFE IS TO CHOOSE JESUS!!! HE LOVES YOU AND IS EAGERLY WAITING FOR YOU TO ACKNOWLEDGE HIS FREE GIFT OF SALVATION & TO ASK HIM TO BE YOUR LORD & SAVIOR. THE BIBLE SAYS WE MUST CONFESS WITH OUR MOUTH THAT JESUS IS LORD TO BE SAVED FOR ALL ETERNITY.

Jesus, I come to you asking forgiveness of my sins. I confess in my heart and speak with my mouth that You are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins, that You took my punishment & paid the price I could not pay for eternal salvation. I believe that you were raised on the 3rd day and are now seated at the right hand of God the Father. I receive Your free gift of salvation and I ask You to be the Lord of my heart, my soul and my life. Thank you for saving me & making me righteous before God.
