1 PETER 1:16 - BE HOLY AS GOD IS HOLY!

JUST AFTER I GOT MY PROGRAM TOGETHER (and added more scriptures to my prayer list to stand on .. thank you Julie Green! 😁) AND I BEGAN TO UTTER THE FIRST WORDS OF PRAYER FROM MY MOUTH, THE TIME WAS 1:00 ON JUNE 16 .. I HAD AN UNCTION TO GO TO SCRIPTURE. 1 PETER 1:16 SPOKE TO ME. AS I DECLARED IT, THE RHEMA WORD FOR TODAY IS: BE HOLY AS GOD IS HOLY!

“For Scripture says: “You are to be holy, because I am holy.”

Since you call on him as your heavenly Father, the impartial Judge who judges according to each one’s works, live each day with holy awe and reverence throughout your time on earth.

For you know that your lives were ransomed once and for all from the empty and futile way of life handed down from generation to generation. It was not a ransom payment of silver and gold, which eventually perishes,

but the precious blood of Christ—who like a spotless, unblemished lamb was sacrificed for us.

This was part of God’s plan, for he was chosen and destined for this before the foundation of the earth was laid, but he has been made manifest in these last days for you.

It is through him that you now believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, so that you would fasten your faith and hope in God alone.”

1 Peter 1:16-21 TPT

TO BE HOLY MEANS TO BE DIFFERENT FROM THE WORLD .. TO BE SET APART .. PHYSICALLY PURE .. MORALLY BLAMELESS .. AND CONSECRATED TO THE LORD.

CONSECRATION IS THE ONGOING PROCESS OF SETTING YOURSELF APART FOR GOD .. WHERE YOU MAKE A CONSCIOUS DECISION EACH DAY TO LIVE ACCORDING TO GOD’S WORD .. WHICH IS HIS WILL. IT STARTS WITH REPENTANCE & TURNING AWAY FROM SIN.

CONSECRATION DOES NOT MEAN LIVING ACCORDING TO GOD’S LAW WITH ADHERENCE TO LEGALISTIC RULES .. JESUS SET US FREE FROM THE LAW! RATHER, IT MEANS THAT YOU INVITE HOLY SPIRIT (who is Love 💕) TO LEAD YOU, WHICH RESULTS IN THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT BEING MADE MANIFEST IN YOUR LIFE.

“But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature together with its passions and appetites.”

Galatians 5:22-24 AMP

ASK HOLY SPIRIT TO GUIDE YOU EACH DAY. ASK FOR GRACE EACH MORNING. BE MINDFUL OF YOUR THOUGHTS & WORDS (they have the power to shape the world around you & your future!). BE MINDFUL OF YOUR ACTIONS & REACTIONS TO PEOPLE & SITUATIONS AROUND YOU. OPERATE FROM GOD’S SPIRIT WITHIN YOU (Love 💕) INSTEAD OF THE FLESH .. KNOW YOU ARE A WORK IN PROGRESS & GOD’S MERCIES ARE NEW EVERY DAY!! 😅

BE PATIENT WITH YOURSELF. GIVE GOD PERMISSION TO DO A WORK IN YOU SO THAT YOU ARE HOLY AS HE IS HOLY.

TIMESTAMP 2:50 (25) ON X AND DATE 6/16 👉 JEREMIAH 6:16 & PROVERBS 6:16 (I am including verses 16-19). 25 is GRACE GRACE GRACE GRACE GRACE! BECAUSE OF JESUS ATONEMENT FOR OUR SINS AS THE UNBLEMISHED LAMB OF GOD, WE ARE COVERED BY UNMERITED GRACE .. GOD’S FAVOR, LOVE & MERCY!

“This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls ..”

Jeremiah 6:16 NIV

“These six things the Lord hates; Indeed, seven are repulsive to Him: A proud look [the attitude that makes one overestimate oneself and discount others], a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that creates wicked plans, Feet that run swiftly to evil, A false witness who breathes out lies [even half-truths], And one who spreads discord (rumors) among brothers.”

TO CHOOSE LIFE IS TO CHOOSE JESUS!!! HE LOVES YOU AND IS EAGERLY WAITING FOR YOU TO ACKNOWLEDGE HIS FREE GIFT OF SALVATION & TO ASK HIM TO BE YOUR LORD & SAVIOR. THE BIBLE SAYS WE MUST CONFESS WITH OUR MOUTH THAT JESUS IS LORD TO BE SAVED FOR ALL ETERNITY. 

"And what is God's "living message?" It is the revelation of faith for salvation, which is the message that we preach. For if you publicly declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will experience salvation. The heart that believes in him receives the gift of righteousness of God - and then the mouth confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scriptures encourage us with these words: "Everyone who believes in Him will never be disappointed." Romans 10:9-11 TPT

PRAY THIS PRAYER ALOUD WITH YOUR VOICE TO RECEIVE JESUS' FREE GIFT OF SALATION & INVITE HIM TO BE THE LORD OF YOUR LIFE:

Jesus, I come to you asking forgiveness of my sins. I confess in my heart and speak with my mouth that You are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins, that You took my punishment & paid the price I could not pay for eternal salvation. I believe that you were raised on the 3rd day and are now seated at the right hand of God the Father. I receive Your free gift of salvation and I ask You to be the Lord of my heart, my soul and my life. Thank you for saving me & making me righteous before God.
