ISAIAH 6 - WE BECOME LIKE THAT WHICH WE WORSHIP

Father, Son & Holy Spirit led me with eyes closed to Isaiah 6 for the 18th time (18 means CHOOSE LIFE ABUNDANTLY OR CHOOSE THE BONDAGE OF SIN).

Then the Lord told me to go and speak this message to the people:

"You will listen and listen, but never understand. You will look and look, but never see." The Lord also said, "Make these people stubborn! Make them stop up their ears, cover their eyes, and fail to understand. Don't let them turn to me and be healed."

Isaiah 6:9-10 CEV

AT THE SAME TIME PEOPLE SAY THEY ARE "OPEN-MINDED," THEIR SPIRITUAL EYES AND EARS ARE DIM.

ONE OF THE EFFECTS OF IDOLATRY IS THAT YOU BECOME LIKE THAT WHICH YOU WORSHIP. GOD ADDRESSES THIS IN HIS WORD WHEN HE SAYS IMAGES & IDOLS HAVE EARS THAT CANNOT HEAR & HANDS THAT CANNOT TOUCH .. THE SPIRITS OF THE PEOPLE THAT REVERENCE SUCH IDOLS BECOME AS DENSE AND DUMB AS THE IDOLS & IMAGES THEY ARE REVERENCING. AND THEY ARE NO LONGER CAPABLE OF SEEING AND HEARING AS THEY SHOULD. FOR SOME, THEIR ABILITY TO BELIEVE THE ONE TRUE GOD HAS PASSED THE POINT OF RECOVERY. AND THEY ARE BEING WARNED OF IMPENDING JUDGMENT.

"The idols of the nations are made of silver and gold. They have a mouth and eyes, but they can't speak or see. Their ears can't hear, and their noses can't smell. Their hands have no feeling, their legs don't move, and they can't make a sound. Everyone who made the idols and all who trust them are just as helpless as those useless gods."

Psalms 115:4-8 CEV

IF WE WORSHIP IDOLS, WE WILL BECOME LIKE THE IDOLS & THAT LIKENESS WILL RUIN US. CHOOSE LIFE ABUNDANTLY RATHER THAN THE BONDAGE OF SIN THAT COMES WITH IDOLATRY. EXAMINE YOUR HEART. GET RID OF YOUR IDOLS. REPENT.

As I sat with the Lord & listened for His voice, I wrote this in my prayer journal today.

Lord thank you for revealing to us the effect idolatry has on our spiritual senses and how it draws us further away from You. What would You like to share with Your children about this or anything else that is on Your heart?

Idolatry is the ruin of men. I have commanded not to turn to the left or to the right to serve other gods. That is a warning at the end of the blessing. To choose to serve a false god or idolize something or someone in the world over the One True God is an offense and a stench in My nostrils. Those who serve false gods and exalt idols over Me will not receive My blessing. To choose idolatry is to choose sin. To choose sin is to choose the curse. My son came and gave His life to redeem you from the curse. He came to give you life abundantly. Each day you have a choice for life or death, blessing or cursing. CHOOSE LIFE! To choose to follow My son is LIFE. To choose to reject idols and serve Me is LIFE. IT IS YOUR CHOICE!

When I started today's blog entry, Blogger documented the time as 2:56. Jeremiah 25:6 is TOTAL CONFIRMATION!!! 😮
