ISAIAH 37 - IF WE ASK GOD FOR HELP, HE WILL DELIVER US FROM OUR ENEMIES!!!

Holy Spirit instructed me to open my Bible to a random page with eyes closed.. then to turn 25 (2025??) pages to Isaiah 37 for the 3rd time.

OUR NATION IS AT STAKE .. BECAUSE OF OUR OWN DOING. BUT EVEN SO, WE CAN TURN TO THE LORD IN SUPPLICATION, REPENT AND ASK FOR HIS HELP JUST AS HEZEKIAH DID.

HEZEKIAH DID 3 IMPORTANT THINGS WHEN HE REALIZED AN ATTACK ON HIS NATION WAS IMMINENT:

1. HE HUMBLED HIMSELF BEFORE THE LORD.

2. HE HAD FAITH THAT GOD WOULD DELIVER HIS NATION FROM THEIR ENEMY.

3. HE SOUGHT THE WORD OF THE LORD THROUGH THE PROPHET OF THE LORD.

"As soon as Hezekiah heard the news, he tore off his clothes in sorrow and put on sackcloth. Then he went into the temple of the Lord."

Isaiah 37:1 CEV

"After Hezekiah had read the note from the king of Assyria, he took it to the temple and spread it out for the Lord to see. Then he prayed: Lord God All-Powerful of Israel, your throne is above the winged creatures. You created the heavens and the earth, and you alone rule the kingdoms of this world. Just look and see how Sennacherib has insulted you, the living God. It is true, our Lord, , that Assyrian kings have turned nations into deserts. They destroyed the idols of wood and stone that the people of those nations had made and worshiped. But you are our Lord and our God! We ask you to keep us safe from the Assyrian king. Then everyone in every kingdom on earth will know that you are the only Lord."

Isaiah 37:14-20 CEV

THE FIRST THING THE LORD SAID TO HIM WAS DO NOT FEAR! THAT HE HAD HEARD THE BLASPHEMY OF THE ENEMY AND WOULD BRING JUDGMENT AGAINST HIM.

THOUGH THE ENEMY TRIED TO BRING FEAR, DISCOURAGEMENT & DESPAIR TO HEZEKIAH, ISAIAH PROPHESIED THE PLANS OF THE ENEMY WOULD COME TO NOTHING. THE LORD RESPONDED WITH PROTECTION AND DELIVERANCE BECAUSE HEZEKIAH PRAYED!!!

FURTHER, THE LORD SAID THE ASSYRIANS WERE ONLY SUCCESSFUL IN THEIR CONQUESTS BECAUSE HE ALLOWED IT!!! GOD KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT THE ENEMY .. AND AS MUCH AS THE ASSYRIANS WOULD LOVE TO CRUSH JERUSALEM AND JUDAH, THE LORD WOULD NOT ALLOW IT. HE DEFENDED IT FOR HIS OWN GLORY & FOR THE SAKE OF HIS KING DAVID.

"I went to Hezekiah and told him that the Lord God of Israel had said: Hezekiah, you prayed to me about King Sennacherib of Assyria. Now this is what I say to that king: The people of Jerusalem hate and make fun of you; they laugh behind your back. Sennacherib, you cursed, shouted and sneered at me, the holy One of Israel. You let your officials insult me, the Lord. And here is what you have said about yourself, "I led my chariots to the highest heights of Lebanon's mountains. I went deep into its forest, cutting down the best cedar and cypress trees. I dried up every stream in the land of Egypt, and I drank water from wells I had dug. Sennacherib, now listen to me, the Lord. I planned all of this long ago. And you don't even know that I alone am the one who decided that you would do these things. I let you make ruins of fortified cities. I know all about you, even how fiercely angry you are with me. I have seen your pride and the tremendous hatred you have for me. Now I will put a hook in your nose, a bit in your mouth, then I will send you back to where you came from."

Isaiah 37:21-26, 28-29 CEV

THE ANGEL OF THE LORD WENT OUT AND DESTROYED THE ASSYRIANS IN A SINGLE NIGHT .. SLAYING 185,000 OF THEM. THE ASSYRIAN ARMY WAS MIRACULOUSLY TURNED BACK WITHOUT SHOOTING A SINGLE ARROW. A FEAT ONLY GOD COULD ACCOMPLISH.

"I promise that the king of Assyria won't get into Jerusalem, or shoot an arrow into the city, or even surround it and prepare to attack. As surely as I am the Lord, he will return by the way he came and will never enter Jerusalem. I will protect it for the sake of my own honor and because of the promise I made to my servant David. The Lord sent an angel to the camp of the Assyrians, and he killed 185,000 of them all in one night. The next morning, the camp was full of dead bodies."

Isaiah 37:33-36 CEV

GOD WILL DO IT AGAIN!

When I posted today's scripture & message on X, I received a timestamp of 9:54 .. Psalm 95:4 is confirmation (I've included verses 3-6 for context).

"For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In His hand are the deep places of the earth; the heights and strength of the hills are His also. The sea is His, for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker Lin reverent praise and supplication]."

TO CHOOSE LIFE IS TO CHOOSE JESUS!!! HE LOVES YOU AND IS EAGERLY WAITING FOR YOU TO ACKNOWLEDGE HIS FREE GIFT OF SALVATION & TO ASK HIM TO BE YOUR LORD & SAVIOR. THE BIBLE SAYS WE MUST CONFESS WITH OUR MOUTH THAT JESUS IS LORD TO BE SAVED FOR ALL ETERNITY. 

"And what is God's "living message?" It is the revelation of faith for salvation, which is the message that we preach. For if you publicly declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will experience salvation. The heart that believes in him receives the gift of righteousness of God - and then the mouth confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scriptures encourage us with these words: "Everyone who believes in Him will never be disappointed." Romans 10:9-11 TPT

PRAY THIS PRAYER ALOUD WITH YOUR VOICE TO RECEIVE JESUS' FREE GIFT OF SALATION & INVITE HIM TO BE THE LORD OF YOUR LIFE:

Jesus, I come to you asking forgiveness of my sins. I confess in my heart and speak with my mouth that You are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins, that You took my punishment & paid the price I could not pay for eternal salvation. I believe that you were raised on the 3rd day and are now seated at the right hand of God the Father. I receive Your free gift of salvation and I ask You to be the Lord of my heart, my soul and my life. Thank you for saving me & making me righteous before God.
