God is telling us how to conduct ourselves so as NOT to defile the land He is giving us. He is saying to us "YOU BELONG TO ME; YOU SHALL NOT DO AS THE WORLD DOES (PAST OR FUTURE)." Participating in those UNCLEAN behaviors DEFILE our land & bring DISORDER & invite God's judgment.
