GALATIANS 5 - FREEDOM IS A GIFT FROM JESUS

 Invited Holy Spirit, closed eyes, opened Bible, heard "turn 2 pages" .. to Galatians 5.

Our FREEDOM is a gift from Jesus .. we only need to accept Him into our hearts and recognize His GRACE is sufficient. We can't do anything to earn it. We receive it by FAITH!

Legalism and doctrines of man DIMINISH Jesus .. they are like leaven that corrupts the entire batch of dough. In Jewish teaching leaven = evil influence. 

We need LESS RELIGION (legalism, doctrine) and MORE JESUS!

Walking in the spirit creates a natural barrier to sin that living according to legalism (rules) does not provide. Let Holy Spirit (in you) guide your behavior. To do so is to live a life of FAITH and LOVE.

Walking in the spirit produces FRUIT in our lives: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness & self control. This is the conduct lawmakers (religious) seek to foster, BUT it is actually accomplished by walking in the spirit!

Wrestling with fleshly desires is a NECESSARY daily exercise.
